On the weekend of December 10th, Travis will be hosting a tactical at his field in Big Lake. The same weekend, there will be a WWII movie shoot at his field. The event will last on Saturday from 9am to 5pm. I will post additional details regarding the movie shoot as they become available.

I will be going to this event with my radio as a Heer artillery observer. Should anyone want to coordinate uniforms, straight field gray wool uniform items, with greatcoats or padded parkas are the way to go. Parkas can be splinter or marsh pattern.

We are considering this but to be honest, it depends on the road conditions and weather forecast as the event nears so I can't commit right now.

Okay plans are set and we will be attending this filming as 222 crew. I'll post after-action and glamour shots after the shoot is finished. I hear Tom Berenger is slated to be there on Fri-Sat so he might get to see us in person. Don't know right now what our role calls for. I do see the forecast is for cold and snow. Perfect for Bulge filming.

Our exciting weekend of movie making fro the Wunderland project is over and here are some pictures. The best known acting talent for the movie is Tom Berenger of Platoon fame and he played an American Major in his scenes. He is pictured with the land owner on whose property the shooting was held. Travis was also the gunner for scenes with the 222 along with my brother who removed gun covers and Troy who was the beady-eyed commander. Troy and Travis are in a great close-up and Franz should also make the final cut it is hoped. Berenger filmed on Saturday before the snowfall but our scene was filmed after a nice snowfall so it pays to wait. We are called on to shoot American POWs but I'm not sure that really happens in the movie. You'll have to wait and see when its released. Matt was on hand as an American but I'm not sure he was portrayed in any scenes or just partook of the tactical on Saturday. We played a bit in that too. Luke, the force behind the production was again a pleasure to work with and is a class act. We were treated very well. Fritz was also on hand, but not sure if he just played in the tactical or was used as a German extra. I got a chance to see his bicycle and it is extremely well done. He should be proud of it. All-in-all, fun and interesting weekend and I am looking forward to the movie's release in some form or another which should be next year. Travis, his mother and one of the stars at the film offices. Berenger looks good. Take 42! Troy wrecked the first 41 tries. Ha-ha. American soldiers milling around still not aware of what's in store for them. Our happy crew. Arrival and nice weather

Thanks for the after action. I had fun. She looks good in the snow and I think when she gets her new screens she'll look even better. It was a good trip and another event to test our cold weather durability. Fortunately, the new Panzer uniform with layers underneath is pretty much up to the task.
