AAR for this event. Anyone feel free to add as you see fit. We had a great if shortened event. The forecast for Sunday scared us off early as thunderstorms were predicted from Midnight Saturday all through Sunday. As it was we packed in a rain squall on Saturday night. But we were treated very well by our hosts. Thank you Jon Boorom and the rest of the officials at the park for allowing us to contribute to the event. Pics below show that five members attended. Wilhelm aided greatly in helping with transport to and from the event which allowed us to take the role of Panzerjagers for this one. The smoke on the gun worked very nicely and Franz actually added the most to the event (IMO) because he brought along the electronics to turn our period R/T into a music and sound effect audio system. We enjoyed the sounds of the time with great satisfaction in camp. Franz also cooked and did camp watch so was very selfless at this event. Thanks for all who gave up their time and attended this event. We had enough members on hand to play our role. Here are some pictures and I am hoping to get some of the action shots promised by spectators in coming days also posted. Next up is Rails to Victory in Illinois.

Camp and gun look great guys! Can't wait to see the PAK in person, I did finish my car this weekend so with that out of the way I have a lot more time to get back into the field! Of course I see Rails to Victory lands on the weekend of Mopars in the Park, so I won't be at that one. What is lined up next after that event? Dixon?

After Rails comes Dixon. Then Highgrounds and then Iola. Mike Rice sent me two additional pictures. Mike was a photographer at the event.

It looks like things will change for next year. Just received this from an event coordinator.
I am sending you this email to let everyone know that Dakota City Heritage Village in Farmington, MN will not have an armed forces day event in 2016. There have been a number of issues with using the fairgrounds property and historic buildings.
Ray Rygula and I have also passed on the coordinator positions to Mat Hanson and Ben Lund. They are looking into new locations to hold the event. The Landing in Shakopee, MN and the Rice County Steam Engine site in Dundas, MN have both contacted us about moving. Nothing is set in stone and we would welcome any suggestions and anyone who would like to volunteer on the planning committee. The event will stay on armed forces day in 2016.
Please contact Mat Hanson Mchanson81@hotmail.com And or Ben Lund Lundgrillo@yahoo.com
Also please forward to your members. Thanks again Jon Boorom
So that means either a new venue or no venue. We'll have to wait and see.
