Forgot to list this so here it is. We like this event. it is Dakota Days. www.facebook.com/events/1496593923886628/HRS standards but relaxed atmosphere. PM or indicate below if you are attending. We are camping with 7th Panzer at this one. Going so far - Otto, Wilhelm, Fritz and Franz that I know of. The truck will debut at this towing the improved 50mm which now shoots smoke too.

Unless something comes up, I will be attending this event.
Just a reminder to all those who are attending, the theme of this event is Sicily 1943. So if you can, make sure to bring tropical, DAK, or HBT uniform items for this event.

Thanks for pointing out the theme. It is good refresher. I sure hope everyone tries to fit this in. This is our main effort event of the year. Franz is putting the finishing touches on our music system. We'll have our own finally.

I'm still scrambling to get my Dart together in time for the big Mopar show in June guys, as of right now I don't know if I can make it. Sorry to disappoint guys.

We'll soldier on without you then. All I really ask is that you pay your membership and then attend what you can. Maybe we'll see you later in the year.

Is there room for setting up zelts? Are there fire rings or are we allowed to bring period camp stoves to prepare our food? Is camping overnight required or can we come each day to attend? With respect,
Fritz

We have a unit meeting tonight, I will bring this up at our meeting and see if anyone wants to make a road trip to Minnesota. Regards, Chris

Well if you did come, you'd certainly be a welcome addition. I hope you have fun this coming weekend at your event.

A quick note on food for Farmington. I cook for myself and Mike. I also provide for Troy since he graciously assists in the transport of one of our vehicle units. I will be planning a meal for Friday nite (warm food) as well as two breakfasts and two lunches. Those will be Saturday and Sunday. If you want to join in, let me know before I shop for foodstuffs on Thursday. You will be asked to contribute to the grocery bill but you will have food for the event. Saturday nite the event feeds us so I don't plan for that. See you guys in a couple.

Just a heads up. For anyone attending this event who is not in the Minneapolis area. The weather around here this week has been damp, cool, and rainy so far. While the weekend is supposed to clear up a bit, make sure to come prepared if you are camping out for a potentially chilly night. If you are bringing display items, have a way to keep your things dry in case of a stray shower. Hope to see everyone there.

Yes good advice. The truck has a tarp too and will be a great place to keep gear dry. At least that's the plan.
