Looks like a great Krad! Is it Chang Jiang based with a later BMW motor, as was your previous? It appears though blocked to actually be licensed? Did you need to test with sidecar in WI to get your motorcycle license to operate on the street? I Hope to complete the mechanical restoration of my Krad this winter and begin the fun cosmetic restoration. Incidentally it was my truck that had mechanical problems earlier this year on the way to an event, not my bike. The Krad appears ready to ride to Karkov and back  With respect, Fritz |

Chang engine not a BMW. It was licensed for street in NH but I have no plans to street ride this. It will be for the hobby only. My street M/C days are behind me. I don't know the answer to your question about the sidecar. Glad to hear you are progressing with your bike.

Update on this bike. After several months of trying to get this working, I've succeeded and traded back with 7th Panzer for our old R-75 replica. So this bike is with our sister unit, 7th Panzer and "Blitzy" (see R-75 replica thread) is back in our camp. It will be fun to run them together at events and for that purpose I did make up some magnetic markings for 7th Panzer in the event we are doing them instead of us.  Here it is at an event all updated and spruced up. The owner is seated.  |
