A new addition to the camp and completed for the upcoming Oconto 2014 event where we are in the middle of an airfield without any sun protection. This is a 12'X16' setup and should serve us well at coming events. You can alter the size easily enough with these by dropping a portion of the tarp to allow for wind protection too. We might use the camo net on top and see how that looks. This project allowed me to learn how to braid an eyelet in the end of a three braid rope which was cool though a bit monotonous by the twelfth rope. It really keeps the heat off - tested for the picture.

Chris Adams from the Missouri 3rd Panzergrenadiers had a similar structure at the Fort McCoy event and it is a natural gathering place. Welcome addition to our campsite.

I recommend using a center ridge pole. This will help with stability during high winds. Regards, Chris

I recommend using a center ridge pole. This will help with stability during high winds. That is in the works. It will be the highest at 8-1/2 ft. It also helps with rain drainage as we found out this past weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.
