Completed this year by several people who worked hard on this project including Randy Lamers and his wife Ann and Todd Meyer (he formulated the rubber tires) is this gun which fires a mixture of propane and oxygen. Steve Smith circuits for this. Diesel fuel injection in the upper end of the barrel (near the muzzle) adds smoke to the explosion. It weighs in at about 1,000-lbs or half weight of the original. Franz posing with the builder on delivery day. At Farmington 2014 with crew practice. Another Farmington shot showing how it makes a great chair too.

I've been working on something for our loader to do and for the truck to carry. I need to polyurethane them for durability and I'll add some blocks internally to the storage case to keep the shells stable in transport and this project is done. Along with the actual case we'll have two wooden crates also marked 50-mm on the truck to simulate extra ammo. It should fool folks at 10-yards. Thanks go to Douglas S. in Minnesota for his scale drawing of the shell.

Here is the upgraded gun with diesel fuel injected. I tried it with a little less oil and though I didn't get that on film, it will look even better. Just a puff of smoke.

Very nice. We have been converting oir PAK 36 to gas as well. I hope it turns out as good as yours did.
Really nice work!
