Krautgear makes an excellent camp stove and now we have one of the first run. As you can see, the stove keeps warm four mess kits and you can even cook on top. It also throws heat off if you want to warm a tent. I attached some stove pipe and with a turn in the top, (not pictured) it will vent the exhaust out the tent flap. I also show what the intended fuel is. Tiny wood sticks that you pour in as needed. It would work fine with coal too. The fire volume is controlled by the damper door. I can't wait for Franz to try this out.

Yeah, I can't wait either. Looks the part though, and I like warm tents.

That is a really nice campsite addition Mike, and no Esbit pellets to deal with The video on the website is worth checking out as well. It appears to have five hooks around the top for five mess kits. Could you hook five mess kits to the sides with one on top or would that cause it to be top heavy? I am guessing the rolled steel heat liner gives it bottom weight for stability.

Thanks Franz I'm glad to be back, missed you guys! Franz, have you had a chance to check out the stove yet? When it comes to cooking at least this stove would be a lot easier to clean up than a Gulaschkanone

Nope, haven't cooked with it yet. Mike got it late in the year and we haven't used it yet. I actually am leery of slowing down dinner preparation and think it might be better utilized as a tent warmer on cold weather events. The little propane heater I use and squirrel away is just so damn convenient and often the cooking is done over the campfires that 7th Panzer and us create so I don't know when I'll give this thing a trial run. Who knows, maybe I'll love it. As for cleaning, I don't do that. I cook, you guys clean so I don't care how hard it is to spiffy up.
